This work is a tribute to his fight for equality and his non-violent approach against segregation.
It participates in the recognition of black history, offers a reflection on our hopes for our society and evokes for many the famous speech "I have a dream" he made on August 28, 1963 front of the Lincoln Memorial.
He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.

“Martin Luther King, le Discours“
Didier Audrat is one of those sculptors who challenge the viewer to always want to give an impression of movement to his characters, even when they are in a static position.
In the case of Martin Luther King Jr, he presents the man facing the crowd, one hand on his desk, the other raised, in an interrupted gesture to captivate his audience.
The Reverend Martin Luther King wears his pastor's robe which we guess slipped over a civilian costume. He therefore presents him in his entire character, a man of faith, a politician and a civil man.
