She is also the first emblematic female character in the history of Guadeloupe - French Carribean Island, knowns for having participated in the revolt against the reinstatment of slavery by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802.

Louis Delgres, Symbol of Freedom!
The main emblematic male character in the history of Guadeloupe.
He is known to have organized the revolt against the reinstatment of slavery ordered by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802 and preferred to kill himself rather than surrender.
The bust made in 32 copies, is installed in each municipality of Guadeloupe, St Marteen and St Barthelemy.
